Working with Angels

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John bless this bed that I lie on,
four corners to my bed,
four angels around my head, one to watch
and one to pray and two to keep me day by day.

"Angels transcend every religion, every philosophy, every creed.
In fact angels have no religion as we know it ...
their existence precedes every religious system
that has ever existed on earth." -St. Thomas Aquinas

The belief that man has spirit helpers has been held in every philosophy, whether angel, spirit guide, higher-self or still small voice they are the inner voice that guides, protects and inspires us.

Meditation is a great way to get in touch with your inner voice. In a quite place, where you feel comfortable and will not be disturbed. Sit down, close your eyes and let your mind go blank. Take note of the images, thoughts, sounds that come to you. If you have a question ask it and then listen.

I like to chant:
Open my eyes so I will truly see,
my ears so I will truly hear,
my heart so I will truly feel,
my mind so I will truly know,
and my mouth so I will truly speak in accordance with your truth, your will and your love. And may it all be for my highest good and the highest good of all.

Then sit quietly and listen.

One of the problems many people have with prayer is they ask, ask, ask but don't take the time to listen. Many think that the age when angels walked the earth has passed but it has not. They are here and they haven't stopped speaking, we've just forgotten how to listen. But they warmly await our return.
